Hello!
We want to push our 'gcodetools' (bzr lp:gcodetools) extension to the base Inkscape distribution. 1. Are we too late to be in the 0.48 release? 2. What should we do to put our extension into the public Inkscape releases?
?- What criteria _do_ extensions have to fulfill to get into the next release ?
I think that must works on any OS (using the python standards from other extensions will help) and be accepted by a developer. You may submit it as a patch on the tracker.
But not for the 0.48, because we are in the string freeze.

Hello!
Yes, too late for 0.48. Feature freeze and string freeze have already passed. Have you submitted patches for Inkscape previously? We have a rule that once you have had 2 patches accepted, you will then get commit access. At this point, I think the best thing to do is to post a wishlist item to our tracker with a patch for this. After 0.48 is out, we can review and commit it then.
Cheers, Josh
