Because of the very bad experience mentoring last year, I hesitate a lot. Is there any project that is close to my 'field of work' ? I cannot login at the link you write.

We have: "Inkscape rendering performance improvements" (basically speeding up the cairo branch) "Improve the CSS situation" (replacing libcroco) "SVG/Javascript UI improvements" (speaks for itself I think) "Implement KML SVG translation" (idem)
I don't think the first one will be too problematic in terms of mentoring, and at least two others seem reasonably active (responded promptly and to the point on comments).
Hi Josh,
I like the extension session and most of my collaborations was on this session. I (think) can be a mentor of a extension related project.
The only extension proposal that i see was "KML-SVG translation" by David Xiong. If he has no mentor and nobody with more expertize want to mentor this project, i can do it. :-)
