please actively look for an email from sourceforge that asks you to confirm your sourceforge mailing list membership(s).
They have changed their mailing list policies to make indicating the country of residence of a subscriber mandatory.

I totally forgot about inkscape-announce. Could someone (Bryce?) please forward the message to the announce mailing list?
It seems that sometimes, the confirmation message ends up in people's spam folders, so they won't get info about new releases anymore.
