Inkscape 0.48.1 Source Packages
Hey all,
I finally found the time to make all of the source packages for 0.48.1, sorry about the delay. They're uploading to Source Forge here:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/inkscape/files/inkscape/0.48.1/
As per-usual please don't do mass announcements of the release until packagers for the various platforms have a chance to build installable images and upload them.

I don't seem to be able to download any of these source packages. For the last few days the files haven't showed up for me at all. I thought this was maybe to do with the SourceForge security issues, and downloads being disabled. As of this morning, any of the downloads fail after about 200KB.
Is anyone else able to download the source packages?

They're only on the main sf mirror and no other mirrors right now... My guess is that they're still working on getting things fixed.

AFAIU sf.net hasn't fully restored all halted services yet: http://sf.net/sitestatus http://sourceforge.net/blog/sourceforge-attack-full-report/
Couldn't the tarball with the sources be uploaded to Launchpad, too? All earlier releases are available for download from there: https://launchpad.net/inkscape/+download

I found that my connection to the downloads kept dropping out but I managed to get them eventually this afternoon, using 'wget --tries=inf'.

I've uploaded the Mac OS X package and I notice that the Windows packages have been uploaded too.

I've uploaded the Mac OS X package and I notice that the Windows packages have been uploaded too.
I guess the only thing we're waiting on is the Tiger PPC package. If that gets uploaded today/tonight I will make an announcement tomorrow.

For 0.48, the Tiger PPC version was built by Wolf Drechsel (CC'd). While Wolf may be able to help out and perform this task again for 0.48.1, I know that this package came some time after the release last time and is used by a relatively small number of users (~400 downloads for 0.48 compared to ~10,000 for the LEOPARD+ package), so I wouldn't hold up release announcements waiting for it.

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll have an opportunity to work on the release announcement for a few days. So, if someone want to start putting together a list of most prominent bug fixes that would be very welcome. :)
