Hi,
in the last couple of testbuilds for windows are experimental LPE's enabled. On Ubuntu there are only a few effects available, but on windows builds are a lot of effects. And many of them let inkscape crash.
Why do we have these unstable effects still enabled?

No reason for them to be enabled so close to release. Indeed they should be disabled! (can't disable them right now)

true. In src/live_effects/effects.cpp in line 9 is '//#define LPE_ENABLE_TEST_EFFECTS' so it should be disabled. Maybe there is some in the build.xml that allow to build the unstable LPE-Effects......

Experimental LPEs can be enabled/disabled in build.xml. I have disabled them just now.
