<Shift>+<scroll-wheel> doesn't work in Inkscape 0.46 and Inkscape 0.47 on OS X 10.5.8 with X11/Xquartz 2.4.0, but I had assumed that's an issue with gtk2 since it doesn't work in GIMP 2.6.7 either.

Since there are several ways to scroll horizontally this doesn't bother me a lot ;) a) mouse-dragging the scrollbar b) tilting the mouse scroll-wheel to the left/right c) <shift>+<scroll-wheel> while hovering over the scrollbar with the mouse d) gestures (2-finger wipe) on the trackpad of my MacBookPro.

Is that a question of preferences - or does anybody know how to solve it?

I didn't find a preference setting that changed it and I haven't searched long enough to discover possible solutions up to now.
