This is so cool. The code for implementing the <image> tag in Mozilla SVG, which was previously a set of patches, apparently has made it into the mainline. Previously, the Mozilla guys were forced to use the <foreignObject> tag. Here is the SVG file w/images that I always use to test this stuff. Ignore the text alignment; obviously I need to convert it to curves.
