There is one feature that was added shortly after the fork, and that is
applying transformations. So, if a point drawn at [0,0] was moved x+5
and y+3, then applying would make its actual coordinated [5,3]. I can't
seem to find equivalent simplification commands in Inkscape, and I
certainly use them as it makes things like rotations and such far more
compatible.
I've forwarded this to the Inkscape list, as it has been talked about
before. If it is useful, then it should get a look at...especially, if
you all would like to see in Inkscape.
