.po problem when compiling on Win 32
When I try to compile the source files on a Win32 platform, I get a raft of errors saying that 'keyword msgctxt not found' in file am.po. Each file I delete leads the error onto the next po file until I delete all the po files, the compilation then works properly. This is not a great issue for me as I don't need the translations but it is bound to be a problem for some others.
Thanks,
Tony

Sounds like you have out-of-date devlibs. Refer to the wiki for more information. http://wiki.inkscape.org/wiki/index.php/Compiling_Inkscape

Thanks Krzysztof, that is a possibility but I use the bazaar with the devlibs svn repository and I updated to revision 18 before attempting to compile Inkscape, this has always been sufficient before?

Devlibs have been moved from Sourceforge SVN to Launchpad and there was a lot of updates since then. You need to check out the new devlibs from Launchpad.

My apologies, I should have stated that I use the launchpad repositories, the bazaar link is http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~inkscape.dev/inkscape-devlibs/trunk
Thanks,
Tony

In that case, you have an obsolete installation of Gettext in your MinGW directory or somewhere in your PATH. I committed a patch to mingwenv.bat that should fix this, by giving priority to the devlibs directory; see revision 9774.
Regards, Krzysztof
That patch worked perfectly!
Thanks again,
Tony
