Thanks, I've added this to the CreatingDists wiki page; next time someone does a Debian package hopefully they'll notice it and be able to look into it.

I updated the ChangeLog after the 0.35-pre0. You're right that we all need to remember to keep that updated.

It seems that 'debian/changelog' must be change in order to build debian package, by replacing sodipodi by inkscape or by creating a new one, I don't know anything about debian packaging. What I've done to build it is replace sodipodi by inkscape, although like it is a new project you might one to create a new changelog (by the way, it doesn't seem very updated).
