Couple things (noticed a patch and have an idea)
Not sure if anyone saw it go into the tracker, but, when going to snag the undo history diff from the patch tracker I saw that there is a patch to do color cursors that support transparency. Would someone that knows more c++ than myself be willing to review it? Man oh man is this release cycle shaping up to be the most improved so far.
Anyway, the idea that I have is that if we don't actually use any gtk+ 2.8 features, that we should use the last 2.6 lib bundle we had for win32 building to release win9x compatible builds again (in addition to the 2.8 builds for 2000/xp). I know that there have been good bug fixes in gtk since then, but if we can still technically produce the builds I think we should try. I honestly don't think having two windows builds would be a bad thing, the same way that we will post packages for different distros. If others are okay this idea, I will even offer to produce those 9x compatible builds for the releases until we're no longer able to. Any thoughts?
