Idea: Make all transforms (scale/rotate/shift/skew) available for editing nodes.
Currently, The transforms only work when selecting an item (with the select tool). But it would be nice to have them for nodes as well. Select several nodes, all you can do is move them. It would be nice if I could select some nodes and scale them about the center of the selected nodes, or rotate them, and not scale/rotate the entire object, just the selected nodes.

You can scale and rotate the currently selected nodes with the keyboard shortcuts.

For the record, the keyboard shortcuts for this are < and > for scaling, as well as [ and ] for rotation. If you have one node selected, it scales & rotates that handles (note that currently holding either the left or right Alt keys will allow independent rotation and scaling of the handles). If you have more than one node selected it does as you want and rotates and scales around the selection's center.
