I'd initially written it for PDF, but since PDF is currently done as an external extension and since the PDF conversion process is in such a state of flux, I figured it would be more approachable to have them just hook it in with the Postscript exporter that's been in the codebase a long time. I figure it's better for the student to focus on the page management functionality, not on the export complexities. With the page support in place, I assume those working on the PDF, etc. export formats can hook it in subsequently.

Also, while I only looked very briefly into this feature, I am a little concerned that the notion of adding multiple pages could potentially cause a lot of breakage throughout, depending on how it's implemented. For instance, how do groups of objects on different pages work? Anyway, so maybe this might end up as just a proof of concept patch, that only works in a very limited subset of cases. But, even at that, it would give us a solid starting point to build from.
