Yes. Right now you just edit your preferences.xml (group id="dashes"). A bit later a simple GUI editing facility will be added.

And the second, the list of makers is quite long and I think that it will grow in the future. So, I think we need a new widget, something like the widget gimp uses for the fonts, for the markers.

P.S. Why have you removed the "Zoom when window is resized" button?

It's not removed, it's now in global preferences (Ctrl+Shift+P, Windows tab). I don't think switching that often or on a per-window basis is so common as to justify the visual clutter and screen space waste in the main editing window.
