Yup... Basically I am thinking at this stage that an a new Context be created (Composite tool). By default a small circle would be created. When a drag action is happening there would be a reasonably lange yellow border around it to indicate that it is not a normal shape. Shapes droped into the Yellow zone would Union with the shape or subtract if a modifier key was pressed inside the drop zone.
