Rounding errors bug me a lot with these "0.999995" values in the SVG files, it lead me to the idea of creating a patch that makes Inkscape use GMP instead of floating-point values.
Discuss - I do not want to take the effort into creating this patch if it turns out to be inappropriate after all.

As a *user* who uses Inkscape mostly for technical purposes (layout, scientific plots, etc.) avoiding rounding errors and somehow snap to integers would be very valuable.
