Well,

Because I fell asleep I had the unique opportunity to be awake when no one else was, so there was actually a point where doing repeated 'cvs update's didn't reveal new code ;) I went ahead and made "release candidate" which is available here. From reading the backlog, I'm guessing this isn't final - but I think it's not a bad idea to have.
