This GDB was configured as "i686-pc-mingw".
The gdb version in the win build is gdb 5.2.1. Is this significant? If so how do I get the 6.2 version? Otherwise I get the output above.
(gdb) break gtksystemwin32.c:578 No source file named gtksystemwin32.c.
I get down to this stage when I run gdb. It does not ask for breakpoint pending statement.
Make breakpoint pending on future shared library load? (y or [n]) y <---ONLY IF IT ASKS
Breakpoint 1 (gtksystemwin32.c:578) pending. (gdb) run
it runs and Inkscape starts ....normally. There is no stopping at line 578
wotnow? vellum
Well, thanks for trying. I have no idea why it did not stop. I tried this on a friend's machine last night, and I got the break, but not the Gtk-Critical warning. Oh well. I will look around.
