BTW, how can a set of colors be copyrighted? i know pantore is a registered trademark, but there's nothing special in a set of colors. also, cliparts may contain all of the pantone colors without a problem. why shouldn't a palette? maybe you should not name it pantone. but if i got that right, gimp also uses it!?

There are patents involved as well. If you happen to own a Pantone swatch book, check out the legal verbage on the first few pages.
