Some time ago, I looked into adding a feature to 'pstricks' output to /not/ convert fonts to paths.

I failed to make progress on that, so have tackled the problem using an extension (attached).

A couple of questions: Is it possible to get the current filename into an extension? Do extensions live on the wiki somewhere?
