Hi,
I promised, that will help you to solve the firing printing issues, but I have very much work now. I will, I think it is very important, but
now is more improtant question:
word and letter spacing (tracing)
I think this is base. Without it there is no vector drawing suite.
Anyone works on it? Is any technical issue, that balk it? If the answers are no, please help me providing any existing info about it. I would like cut this problem shortly. I can code just a little bit, but I will do anything to complete this.
Sorry for harrassing you, but I start to work with inkscape, and it -unfortunately- is not an appropriate tool yet.
I'd like to help you, I think there is no too many issues to be a very powerful tool.
letter and word spacing are such issues.
Thanks, Aewyn

Sorry for the double message, I was not sure you get the message.
Kerning is ok in this way.
Letter spacing out is works, but spacing in (tightening) does not (I'm using hungarian kayboard).
So If no one works on it, I try to put this to text dialog.
Thanks, Aewyn

Letter spacing works. Press alt+> or alt+< when editing text. And there's kerning by alt-arrows.
Word spacing is not supported yet but I hope to implement it for 0.40.

I know some localized keyboards have problems with some keys. Please suggest a logical alternative to alt+< that would work for you.

Would be good! Also planned is a controls panel for the text tool (now it's empty) with widgets for font, size, style, kerning, etc. When done it will be more convenient than the bulky dialog, so I would suggest looking into implementing that panel first.

Hi,
Letter spacing out is works, but spacing in (tightening) does not (I'm using hungarian kayboard).
On a Hungarian keyboard, try to use (Alt+)AltGr+Y to increase spacing, and AltGr+ to decrease it. (This is with "XkbModel"="pc105" and "XkbLayout"="hu", and works for me this way).

Yes, I've tried exactly that. No problem, I see forward :)
