While documenting Inkscape we (well, Joshua) discovered that Shift + mouse drag for handles of Star tool applies different changes depending on particular handle. This is not documented neither in hotkeys cheat sheet, nor in tutorials, not in Tav's book.
The middle handle gives larger values, and the periferal handles gives smaller values. This kind of switch is usually achieved by using Alt key in other tools. So, is it an easter egg? :)

No. It's simply that the rounding is proportional to the angle of displacement, and when you're moving the inner handle it produces a larger angle for the same absolute move.
