Hi, a few days ago someone mentioned how close the string freeze was for the new version (0.47). Is this real? Has a release calendar been set for 0.47? If so, where can I find it? The Roadmap data on the website is generic and has no dates.
I'm just being curious and anxious to start translating the new strings in es.po.
Thanks in advance.
As far as I can tell, 0.47 release is miiiiiles away :P
Cheers, Johan

But wouldn't new strings pop up in Launchpad ready for translation anyway?
I'll be honest, I've never gotten pot/po files to work in python so I've felt like the whole language support thing passed me by, grievously.
So I guess I'm asking, why not translate as you go?

This is surreal :) SVN trunk is not in releasable state.

Which is a good reason to raise the question, how we better make actual inkscape.pot always available for translators. We even used to have a bug report for that.

Well, we actually still have - see here:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/inkscape/+bug/179209
I suggested a solution but have not heard anything since. I am still happy to go ahead with some kind of solution - I generate inkscape.pot myself every few days or so anyway.
