Finally had time to look at it... but it seems incomplete: ends in the middle of paint-selector, and the patched source does not compile (sp_paint_selector_system_color_set undeclared etc.) Please rediff. (I promise to review it quickly this time :)

Also, the patch has many regressions in that variable declarations are moved from first-use up to the top of the function. Why did you do that, or is it because you diffed against a newer version? Please do not include such changes in the diff.
