There were several packaging issues discovered with pre2, so I've posted one more pre-release. There are also a few bug fixes included; see the NEWS file for details.

Let me know ASAP if there are any remaining problems. Otherwise we'll hopefully get 0.45.0 final out tomorrow or Saturday.

Bryce, could you please reupload the tarball. The filesize is significantly smaller than previous pre# tarballs and the sig doesn't verify.

Unfortunately Mental didn't publish the patch for calligraphic tool sensitivity that he and I worked on. He needs to test it and was going to publish it tonight. I dunno if we must release pre4 with this patch, but at any rate please do not make the final release without it!

If it can get in by this evening, then no prob. Much longer than this, though, and it probably should get directed to 0.45.1.

As noted on the bug, I committed the patch to trunk as r13989.
Thanks, got it. I'm rolling the final version now.

If there is going to be another prerelease... I've fixed two connector related crashbugs in the last couple of days. These should also be added to the release branch, either for 0.45 or for 0.45.1. They were both pretty trivial fixes so should be safe for 0.45.
The bugs were #1633685 and #1630101.
They are fixed by the changes in these three revisions: r13962, r13963 and r13971.
Not sure who the current right person to be telling this too is? I can add this information to the patch tracker if that is preferred.
Cheers, Michael

Thanks, yes I spotted one of these fixes earlier, thanks. It would be very helpful if you could post the changes as patches to the patch tracker, and either Aaron or I can take it from there.
Thanks, Bryce

I committed these fixes to the release branch this morning.

This should be done; sorry for the truncated file.
