Request for Animation Editor development [with funding]
Hello, I'm Rei Kagetsuki from Genshin Souzou K.K.
We'd really like to see an animation editor in inkscape with proper SMIL-embedded SVG output. Basically we'd like to see this: http://wiki.inkscape.org/wiki/index.php/SVG_Animation http://wiki.inkscape.org/wiki/index.php/SVG_Animation_UI http://wiki.inkscape.org/wiki/index.php/Animation-(Timeline) implemented within the next few months.
We're considering implementing these features ourselves, but as we have a small staff and none of us have any real expertise on developing graphics editing tools we'd like to know if anyone would be willing to take on the task if we provided funding. If so, how much would the asking price be?
If nobody is willing to take on the task we will try to implement these features ourselves and will push the results to inkscape core.

It's good to hear that you are interested in having animations. I want to help you achieve your goal but I don't feel confident enough to personally take on such a large functional change.
If you don't find anyone to do the whole of the work. Please keep me in mind for helping you with part and getting into the code. $30 per hour, US based, EST timezone.
