Hi everyone: This is an initial approach for a request of collaboration. I don't know speciffic developer data, I am just the messenger :) they are too busy.

The Gimp-print plugin developer team is about to release a new big version. They are planning to divide a bit more the libgimpui so it can be used in other programs than The Gimp as a Gimp-print Plugin (it will be renamed as GutenPrint plugin) Now is Printer drivers+printing API and in a different package the GUI to print from The Gimp. The new idea is to make the plugin has a common component. Can Inkscape benefit from this?

ps: my personal point of view as a user is yes, it will add more power to Inkscape.
