* The rotation/skew axis crosshair in selector remains where you put it for as long as you have the object(s) selected; to reset it to the center, deselect and reselect. Also the crosshair is only displayed in rotate mode, not in scale mode - this makes it easier to drag small objects.
* You can reverse the direction of selected path(s) either via Path > Reverse or by pressing 'r' in node tool (useful for markers and combining paths).
* In the Fill and Stroke dialog, Stroke Width can use the % unit for relative stroke width changes. When several objects are selected, using the percent unit changes the stroke width of each one relative to its previous value (unlike absolute units which assign an average width to all objects).

Over the last few days the Keys and Mouse file is crashing my system. This has been happening with win autobuilds 0406140200 to present 0406160200. The tutorial files and About Inkscape are working OK.

I was fiddling with Ctrl+U this evening to get Unicode to work and noticed:
Ctrl+U is down as toggling Unicode mode and also as ungrouping nested groups. Since I do not use the latter function much at present I wonder if this should be so or should there be a separate keygroup for the ungrouping function? vellum.
When I was playing around with Ctrl+U this evening I was initially pleased because now something was happening. However a little more playing showed me that the symbols coming up on screen were unrelated to the unicode numbers for the font (Arial) that I was putting in. Not only that, there were symbols coming up that were not even in the symbol sheet for Arial. I think I will have a Glen Morangie and go to bed.

ctrl+u and ctrl+shift+g are common for ungrouping, I believe. Since ctrl+u makes sense for unicode I wouldn't want to have a key-shortcut to have completely different actions assigned to, I'd go with ctrl+shift+g for ungrouping.

if you want an alternative then using Ctrl+G Group Ctrl+Shift+G Ungroup would be more consistant with the Gnome HIG.
still many new users might think that Ctrl+U was for Ungroup so you would need to make sure that there was enough feedback so user realise what is happening.
