some bugs in 0.41 and still in latest build (04/25/2005)
have been using inkscape for a while and start to like it, but: -it occasionally switches my input settings from DE to EN (I have installed german and english input schemes) (I'm using Windows XP SP1) -I don't like the size of objects beeing measured inclusive their stroke width, this is unintuitiv -start and end markers of lines (e.g. arrow heads) are always black, no matter what color the line is -I would like to see, in the future, "magnetic" lines, corners, center points, intersections...as in Illustrator.

Actually I'm not sure about the stroke-width handling... it totally depends of the situation. I wouldn't say I like it better to be included or not. As for the markers, there's a bug filed in the tracker, I'm pretty sure; For the magnetic lines, there is an RFE.

Hi Norbert,
I am using WinXP SP2 but I had no problems using SP1 with the german environment. What special problem do you encounter ? Can't you use the german Umlauts on the keyboard ? Are Y and Z switched when you press the keys ?
Best regards,
Adib. ---

Btw, make sure to submit bug reports on errors with details on recreating them.
Thanks, Bryce
