btw, I've been calling all the markers that I've been putting in markers.svg INK_mWhateverName to try and minimize the chances of confilcting with peoples own markers, Seem reasonable to y'all?
Sounds good to me. I wonder if we'd want to use this as a convention for other things like gradients?
Since these are user-visible names, they must be as plain and straightforward as possible. So just "WhateverName" is much better. To a user, "INK_" is redundant because he knows the markers come with Inkscape, and "m" is redundant because they are shown as markers to him. If he's creating his own markers (which only a minorilty will do anyway), he can use any prefixes, but I think just using all-lowercase names will be enough to set apart user-create markers from the predefined ones.
