Well, didn't quite break it.

What I did was stop it from reloading the file every time there was an expose event, and loading it in that one size.

Oh, and that means it also was leaking a pixmap on each expose/repaint-a-bit event.

But yes, I'm working on redoing that code so that it draws things correctly. It probably will need to deal with crop, resize, and tile options.
