Hi there,
I did some of the german translations for the upcoming release. There is a little issue, though.
I would like to translate the about screen, which was drawn by "sko", but I have no idea what font is used there and how to apply the fancy shadow effect beneath "Draw freely". So, could anyone forward my email to the artist who created this very nice graphic? Or could you point me to where I might find his email adress? That would be great!
Thanks in advance
Alex
P.S.: Sorry if this is the wrong mailing list, but I had the feeling that the developers are most likely to know the answer to my question.
Replied off-list with relevant info (not wanting the author to get spammed or anything).
Cheers, Josh

Sorry to bother you again, but an account for the email adress provided by Joshua does not exist ( jofo<at>pakistanmail<dot>com). I only get errors from mailer-demon.
Has anyone else some contact details? Thank you very much.
Alex

It's me! Please tell me what's needed.
Btw, the pakistanmail adress is long gone, but I still use it for my MSN account. That's probably where it comes from.

Ahh, great. I was about to lose hope. I scaned what feels like a trillion fonts to find one that is at least similar to do it myself, but now I would like to ask you:
Would you please provide translated versions of the (very, very nice!) splash-screen you did? It's about the "Draw Freely" written beneath the version number. Before I go into more detail, maybe it's better to move the topic to the Inkscape-translators mailing-list. I'm going to open a new thread there, if it's ok with you.
By the way, the version of the splash-screen you submitted to the contest and the one shipped with the latest tarballs are somewhat distinct. The colour-gradient in the writings is gone and some of the colours are a bit less crisp. Is that on purpose or did something happen there? To my feeling the old version is more eye catching...
Cheers
Alex
