Per http://www.linuxexpo.org.uk/, there will be a presentation at the .Org Village of the London Expo for Inkscape.
Anyone based in the UK should consider visiting this event which is the major national Linux event of the year and is attended by many 'suits' but still has a slightly 'geeky' flavour.
We should be alongside the Audio application Jokosher, and in the illustrious company of Gnome, Drupal and many others.
Nearly every sizeable FLOSS project uses Inkscape for something even if only the creation of a humble logo or web page mock up and it a chance to speak to end-users even if rather an unrepresentative collection.
See also http://wiki.inkscape.org/wiki/index.php/Current_events .

I ought to add to that that I shall be traveling to London with no more that I can carry, and if anyone reading reading this can reasonably supplement my efforts there is an invitation so to do.
The obvious things are a portable screen, or any input device that you might want to show off, and any display materials. The last will, I think be woefully lacking!
Further, any volunteer to actually man the Inkscape stand say late morning or late afternoon would be very greatly appreciated - the chance to meet our adoring public should not be lightly passed over!
