If there are any changes or suggestions, please let's try to collect them into one thread so I can then request all modifications at one time.
The first one I have will be to use the traditional Inkscape & Draw Freely text from our branding file.
Cheers, Josh

Congrats to the designer.
Suggestion: Can we add a striken-through "0.49" before the 0.91 ?

I'd like to take this image and a few of the runners up images for the website banners. It's always good to keep things fresh.
I spent the weekend refactoring the front page (html/css/js/cms) so we can edit in new images more easily. So we should select a few good images for tabs "Overview", "Features", "Gallery" and "Learning"
Images need to be 960x300 svg AND png fallbacks.
Thoughts?
Martin,
Martin,
If you'd like to contact the authors to get permission, I say go for it. I know we have them license things as CC BY SA for the contest, but I'm not sure more casual computer users really understand it. I think that perhaps on file uploads to inkscape.org, maybe we have a checkbox that asks if we can use them for promotional purposes? Again, just to make it that much easier and clearer to less savvy users, as I really doubt many people would be against it.
Also, we need to touch base on the status of the screenshots stuff... it's becoming more pressing as release is nearing and I have all of the past galleries to redo on top of creating the new one.
Cheers, Josh

It has been standing by. I actually touched it in the refactoring, I decided to take out functionality to reduce complexity. Should be a matter of setting the style of the gallery widget. The tab structure is a little harder, since it's like having a menu inside a page and do we make each version a page or make version a model and list them through on that page. I dunno here how to make that easier.
The v1.3 of the website is not ready yet. We've got lots of good changes, so I want to get it out the door soon too. But translations is blocking because the old pots were refactored out of existence and a release now would see non-cms/news translations evaporate.
Anyway, lots to do. :-) poke me on irc.

Congrats everyone! Good submissions, and a great selection for the about screen.
