The tarball located here: http://inkscape.org/download/?lang=en (This is the direct download link: http://downloads.sourceforge.net/inkscape/inkscape-0.48.4.tar.gz) Has a syntax error in the file desktop-widget on line 252, there is an added comma before the semi-colon. This bug was not present in the bzr, so I assume it accidentally got added sometime before balling it up for release.
