Tonight the 0.38 release was made and CVS tagged. Congratulations everyone, this release embodies a great wealth of contributions from an impressive number of people, providing users with a significant advance over the previous release.

The 0.38 tarball is available on the SourceForge download page. Packagers may now use this to generate packages. Either post the files on SourceForge, or simply announce them here and ask an admin to post them.

As before, we are allocating a few days for packaging before we make the official announcements, so that when the announce goes out, we have sufficient breadth of packages for interested users.

With tonight's release, the feature freeze is finished, and so developers are encouraged to merge branches, apply patches, and set forth on new development as desired. Enjoy!
