Blank menu items
Hello, With svn 17242, selected menu items are blank for me on OS X (10.3). For example, in the attached image, the "Help" and "Tutorials" menu text is invisible. The application is still usable, but it's an annoying bug.
I looked in launchpad and found old similar bugs like this: https://bugs.launchpad.net/inkscape/+bug/168694 , which is marked as fixed.
Does this sound familiar to anyone or does anyone know the root cause? Is this a gtk issue?

This is because you don't have the theme engine that the defaut gtk theme now uses. I should add this to the wiki page. You need to sudo port install gtk2-clearlooks

Hi JiHO, I did the 'port install...', but I still get the blank menu items, and in the console I see:
Gtk-WARNING **: Unable to locate theme engine in module_path: "clearlooks"
Is there some other piece?

Hi JiHO, I did the 'port install...', but I still get the blank menu items, and in the console I see:
Gtk-WARNING **: Unable to locate theme engine in module_path: "clearlooks"
It turns out the missing step was to repackage the .app after installing gtk2-clearlooks. I now have normal, visible menu items.
