FINAL RELEASE OF 0.37 HAPPENING NOW -- HOLD CVS COMMITS
Hello ALL,
The tree is cut and the 0.37 package process is beginning. Only very very very serious fixes are allowed, and get onto chat b4 any commits.
We have closed most of the critical bugs, and any known bugs we pushed into the NEWS and RELEASE NOTES. We will probably issue a maintenance release like 0.37.1 after a few little features are ironed out post our 0.37 release, but we are getting this thing out of the gate tonight.
Thanks, Jon
I've created a stable branch for the 0.37 release, rooted at the RELEASE_0_37_0 tag that Ted created. To check out the stable branch, use the tag RELEASE_0_37-branch. E.g.:
cvs checkout -r RELEASE_0_37-branch -d inkscape_0_37_stable inkscape
Maintenance releases can be created from this branch as needed.
With this branch established, CVS HEAD can return to regular development. We will kickoff the 0.38 Bug Hunt later this week once the 0.37 release is announced.
Thanks everyone for the patience and attention to stability during the feature freeze, I think we've achieved a very solid release and look forward to seeing it announced once the packages get built. :-)
Bryce
