What would be cool is if I could drag those swatches onto anything on the canvas and the color would change, and then if you hold shift, then that color would change the stroke. I think that is in alignment with bulia-ification...maybe bulia, can speak to that better.
Why does that swatch palette keep popping up after I close it and open other dialogs...

Known bug.
Basically the actual GTK+ dialog being used is temporary code, meant to be replaced with a refinement of Bryce's newer dialog.
