The next Libre Graphics Meeting [1] is planned for late May in Brussels. For last couple of years there have been very few developers present at the conference. Given current amount of European contributors to the project it would be great to see more Inkscape related activity at the conference again. So please think about visiting it ;-)
There was a lite academic bias last year, so maybe our past and present Lyon Polytechnique students would like to attend?
We will soon officially announce accepting talk proposals.

I want to participate this year. What is the procedure for sending a sponsorship application? Who are the potential sponsors and should I contact them directly or through somebody from our Inkscape dev-team?
I am from São Paulo, Brazil and have been working on Inkscape development since mid-2007.

This will be announced separately, and this won't be a sponsorship application.
