A couple of weeks ago on the Cairo mailing list there was a request for a release engineer to drive Cairo 1.12 home. Do we have anything that we want to see in the next Cairo release? I seem to recall there being an issue with being able to set the EPS bounding box. Any others?

The only truly important thing we need is higher quality downscaling, preferably through mipmaps.

I would say the stack smashing issue is probably important as well... https://bugs.launchpad.net/inkscape/+bug/910100

It sounds to me like it won't be of too much use to them at this point until we can cut the trace down (which I've been unsuccessful at).

Sweet, looks to have been fixed upstream as I can no longer reproduce: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=47245 Now to see if it improved things in the mesh branch...
