I guess you have gtk-2.4? Does someone know of a page where all header changes between glib/gtk versions are collected?
Nope, I have 2.8.10-1ubuntu1. It is quite buggy in some aspects, so I'm not sure how it's related.

I've had this same problem few days ago on ubuntu (I'm not sure this explains the issue) and I fixed it by including the right .h in svg/svg-color.cpp, where g_snprintf is declared : #include <glib/gutils.h>
Didn't investigate on why it seams I was the only one for who it didn't work... glib version maybe

You're right, 2.9.0 made some changes, * g_snprintf and g_vsnprintf: - These functions are no longer declared in gprintf.h, since they are in glib.h
Fixed in svn.
