Hi Folks,
I've been using the advice on the inkscape/eclipse page, http://wiki.inkscape.org/wiki/index.php/Using_Eclipse
using Linux, I have found it necessary to run: ./autoconf.sh, ./configure
before a Makefile is generated which Eclipse is happy with.
Is this a requirement (or am I just incompetent) on both windows and linux platforms? If so, I will make a suitable edit to the wiki.
cheers, richard

Hi Richard,
It's indeed required on Linux, don't know for Windows. I'm running Eclipse on Fedora, and for this had to combine info from both "CompilingInkscape" and "Using Eclipse". I've also been thinking about updating the "Using Eclipse" Wiki with Linux info, but I was hesitant because it would get messy to mix Linux and Windows. Maybe we should make a separate wiki page "Using Eclipse on Linux"? I've made some notes on this sometime ago and am happy to share these.

Hey guys, just a note on the Eclipse page: I wrote it just for Windows. The note at the beginning says a lot of the advice is applicable to both Windows and Linux, but the page needs to be refactored or a new section added for it to make any real sense for Linux. I was going to let somebody actually on Linux do that! :)
