Yeah, if you have a good maintainer it takes very little time. Usually by the time we have released a new version of Scribus, the update is in within 12h if not less. It helps when the dependencies do not change. If they havent much between 0.41 and 0.42 it should be pretty smooth sailing. When you release 0.42 and submit the Gentoo bug, its important to say that the dependencies have not changed or what has specifically.

Yeah, I figure they'll like having x86 (stable) set to 0.41, and have 0.42 for ~x86 (unstable), but I'm also hoping they'll be able to test and upgrade to 0.42 more quickly now.
