I'm doing a bit of catch-up and just saw this message. There had been some past work on icon unification a while back, including designating what concepts should be listed as what names. If you are interested in a little follow-up we can see how to build on that and improve the situation you are seeing.

I've added symbolic and colored icons as svg. The symbolic icons are derived from libreoffice, you might want to correct the color (for what reason ever, inkscape uses different gray than libreoffice and libreoffice a different than gimp in their symbolic icon theme ..., maybe someday in future this will be harmonized too).

It's up to you to make use of them or put them into trash.
