Thanks to Kees and Bulia (and micelf) and others, we have almost put in place all current menu icons. We need however 3 more. After these are completed, then we can move on to replacing XPM icons in the interface.
The following need to be created:
File ==== * Open Recent
Edit ==== * Paste in Place * Paste Style
The menu items that do not need icons because they are getting replaced:
Dialogs ======= * Item Properties * Tool Options

I made one for this, and ended up creating a generic function to add an icon to a menu item, since this now makes three places where we needed it.

I made this one for fun since I wanted to play with add/subtract. ;)
I also made one for "Hide/View dialogs".
- Paste in Place
I'd love to just add a thumbtack to the stock "paste" icon, but I'm not sure if there is an SVG file for it. Maybe hidden deep in the Gnome source code.
BTW, I'm no artist, so please replace any of my ugly icons. ;) I just had to have a little graduation hat next to "Tutorials". Itch to scratch, ya know.
Also, we could use icons for each of the tutorials. I was thinking:
basic: baby-head? pacifier? advanced: slide-rule? wizard hat? design: clouds? rainbow? tips: magic wand?
