sanguivor (on irc) confirms same error (no system info provided).
houz (on irc) has no build failure, but reports that 'File > Open' no longer works with r9946 (file chooser freezes when 'Open' is pressed): System: debian, gcc 4.4.5, gtk 2.20.1, glib 2.25.11, gtkmm 2.20.3

Build went through with r9948, but now I see similar issues like reported by others:
- File > Open: hangs, e.g. when getting a new list of files (e.g. when clicking on an entry listed in 'Places'). For others the file chooser doesn't even open. - Fill & Stroke: doesn't open at all, Inkscape hangs after clicking on the 'Fill & Stroke' button on the toolbar (other dialogs - docked or floating - open fine).

Thanks. I'm looking into those.

If you hit either Cancel or Save in the Save As/Save a Copy dialogs it will hang.
"(inkscape:1318): Gtk-CRITICAL **: IA__gtk_widget_is_toplevel: assertion `GTK_IS_WIDGET (widget)' failed" is the first thing it displays in the terminal when launched (on Natty here)'

Fixed in revision 9949. Was a const mismatch causing a loop in XML repr.
