What's the canonical location for inkscape win32 snapshots? There seem to be several places to get them from and they aren't quite the same.
This snapshot: inkscape-0801090900.7z from here: http://inkscape.modevia.com/win32-snap/
Will output pdf via Cairo, but text is flipped. (As I reported earlier.)
However this snapshot: Inkscape0801091456.7z
From here: http://inkscape.modevia.com/win32/
Just crashes when you try to output pdf via Cairo.

This page, http://inkscape.modevia.com/, links "Win32 Snapshots" to /win32/ and "More Win32 Snapshots" to /win32-snap/.
I'm compiling the latter. The code is downloaded and compiled three times a day; a `make clean` is performed daily.
I try to keep in sync with the cross-compiler and libraries that Bob provides, but I may miss some emails about updates. Please do notify if you notice the libraries have not been updated.
Greetings!

Hello,
the later days I updated the sourceforge archive in the snapshots section with the latest win32-setup packages for testing. You need to click on "show older releases " to see that section in the download area of inkscape project.
I do not have access to web-server, so I it that way. I not quite happy with the different sources of snapshots, but I think it is ok before the first prerelease for testing.
HTH,

Check out the new SourceForge.net Marketplace. It's the best place to buy or sell services for just about anything Open Source. http://ad.doubleclick.net/clk;164216239;13503038;w?http://sf.net/marketplace _______________________________________________ Inkscape-devel mailing list Inkscape-devel@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/inkscape-devel
I think the question I really wanted to ask was which version is the right one to use for testing? I don't want to waste time running a version that is just known to be bad.
Another bug: I also can't select a font in the current snapshots from modevia's win32-snap dir. The app crashes just clicking on the arrow next to the font selector on the toolbar.

Of course my version is the right one to use ;-)
Seriously, I published the sourceforge win32 packages for the last releases. win32-installer and zip versions. I took always a clean modevia-lib bundle just before compiling. I would say you better go with /win32/ published by ishmal.
Daniel, if you redownload the stuff from the libs directory, do you get the same output and results?

I just checked my setup and it's based on these bundles: devlibs-2.12-071115.7z xmingw-4.2.1-dw2.tar.bz2
Just to be sure, I redownloaded the packages and checked the MD5 checksums -- they match.
Greetings!
