Hi guys,
I'm running openDesktop.org, KDE-Look.org, GNOME-Look.org and other websites for Free software.
I´m also a longtime inkscape user. I created lots of icons for KDE with inkscape. :-)
I noticed that there is no real community site where Inkscape users and developers can share drawing, templates, scripts, fonts, screenshots, new ideas and other stuff. I know there is open clipart, but it lacks the social networking functionality and other stuff.
So I created www.inkscapestuff.org . It is part of the openDesktop.org network. So if you have an account on GNOME-Look.org on any other website you can login.
There is also a public api if you want to fetch and integrate the stuff into other websites or Inkscape. http://api.inkscapestuff.org
I hope this is helpfull for you and the Inkscape users.
What do you think?
I you have ideas or suggestions how to improve the site please send me a mail.
Cheers Frank

I may have wrong impression, but the "Brainstorm" section somewhat duplicates our "Blueprints" section at Launchpad. Other wise it's an interesting except I have a better idea for templates management, but lack programming skills :)

Hi Alexandre,
I think you are right. I will remove the brainstrom category.
What idea do you have for template management? Perhaps I can improve the current system. :-)
Cheers Frank

Hello Frank,
As a gnome-look user, I've created some icon in SVG stored in the "GNOME Icon" section where the svg source is available. Is there a way to see them on the "inkscape stuff website" without having to re-post them ? (like tagging them as svg, i don't know) eg. http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php/aMule%2BeMule+SVG+Icon?content=47...
Same thing for a wallpaper ? eg. http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php/Babaorum?content=48742
Anyway thank you for this great job, I love all *-look;*-apps websites

Well, the content category cliparts and fonts are shared between gnome-look.org and inkscapestuff.org because they are usefull for inkscape users too.
But the other categories are separated. I don't see a point in having a wallpaper category on a inkscape website. What do you think?
You can transfer content from other websites with a trick. Go to gnome-look.org and change the category of you content to clipart or font. Than go to inkscapestuff.org and edit the content again and change the category to the correct section of inkscapestuff.org

Thank you :-)
You can send me a mail anytime if you have suggestions how to improve the websites. :-)
Cheers Frank
