Can math support be enabled on the Wiki, please?
I would very much appreciate it if math support could be enabled on the Inkscape Wiki. Specifically, I'd like to use it for the Advanced Gradients page.
I'm sending it to the list(s) because I have no idea who is "in charge" of the Wiki, so if you do know, that would help as well.

Do you know what is required to make this change? If it is something that can be done through the web any wiki admin should be able to do it (Me included). If it requires manipulating files on the server Inc on #inkscape has been managing the server most recently. If it requires root access we'll need to put a request in to osuosl.

From what I understand you have to "set $wgUseTeX = true; in LocalSettings.php", see: http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Help:Math
I don't suppose this can be done through the web?

Nope. And I just tried it with no success. The wiki appears to be installed differently than when we originally set it up. I can find 3 versions on the server and I changed all of them. Perhaps the problem is that folders need to be created. This requires root access so I've put in a request with osuosl.

Thanks a lot!
Btw, the page now doesn't load at all anymore: http://wiki.inkscape.org/wiki/index.php/Advanced_Gradients

Oops. I bet we're using squid. I forgot about that. That is why I didn't see a change when I updated the config file. I put things back to before I messed it up now. I'll let an expert deal with it. :-)

No one is really "in charge" of the wiki. Or rather, all of us are "in charge".
In any case, suggest specific changes, and those of us who happen to have administrative access will attempt to make those changes.
